A former All-Star for the New York Yankees is returning to the AL East.
Jon Heyman of the New York Submit reported Saturday that free agent catcher Gary Sanchez is signing with the Baltimore Orioles. Sanchez might be getting a one-year deal from Baltimore price $8.5 million, Heyman provides.
The righty-hitting Sanchez, 32, started his MLB profession with the Yankees and was a two-time All-Star with them in addition to a Silver Slugger Award winner in 2017. However since leaving New York after the 2021 marketing campaign, Sanchez has grow to be a mercenary, bouncing round groups on year-to-year offers. The Orioles will now be Sanchez’s fifth MLB staff in three seasons.
Sanchez hit .220 with 11 house runs and 37 RBI in 89 final season for the Milwaukee Brewers. Now he’ll head to an Orioles staff that already nabbed a participant away from one other division rival earlier within the day.
