World primary Scottie Scheffler has undergone surgical procedure on a hand damage he sustained whereas cooking Christmas dinner.
The 28-year-old American has been pressured to withdraw from the primary event of the season, subsequent week’s The Sentry in Hawaii, after reducing his proper hand on damaged glass.
The PGA Tour stated: “World primary and 2024 FedEx Cup Champion Scottie Scheffler has withdrawn from the PGA Tour’s 2025 season-opening event, The Sentry, which is able to happen subsequent week, January 2-5 at The Plantation Course at Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii.”
Scheffler, who gained seven PGA Tour titles final 12 months, hopes to be again in motion at The American Categorical event on January 16,
WHAT WAS THE INJURY
His supervisor, Blake Smith, added: “On Christmas Day whereas making ready dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his proper hand from a damaged glass.

Scheffler is just not the one golfer to have suffered misfortune in latest days with Norway’s Viktor Hovland taking to his official Instagram account to submit an X-ray which appeared to indicate his little toe pointing at an alarming angle.
The picture was accompanied by the message: “Mattress body 1-0 me.”
Responding to Hovland’s message, 2021 Open winner Collin Morikawa stated: “I’m wrapping myself in some bubble wrap on the way in which to Hawaii.”
