For the second successive race weekend, Max Verstappen’s race winner’s trophy has been damaged in an accident.
In Hungary, the ornate $40,000 trophy produced by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, which is hand-crafted over six months, was damaged in the course of the podium ceremony when Lando Norris carried out his conventional technique of spraying his ‘champagne’.
In Belgium, Verstappen’s trophy was broken whereas the Crimson Bull workforce was having its normal post-victory image taken.
Because the Champagne was sprayed and everybody ran for canopy a pitboard fell on to the trophy.
Operating for the duvet of the storage with the remainder of the workforce, Verstappen circled to see his trophy mendacity on the bottom.
“It is damaged once more,” he stated.
“Not one other one,” replied workforce boss, Christian Horner.
