Former U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick of Workforce GB withdrew from the Olympic males’s golf competitors after he shot an 81 on Saturday due to a thumb damage.
A press release from the Worldwide Golf Federation mentioned Fitzpatrick had a pressure in his proper thumb going into the match at Le Golf Nationwide.

Fitzpatrick shot a 64 on Friday to get again to the perimeter of competition. The third spherical left him far behind. He hit into the water for a double bogey on the thirteenth, after which discovered the water off the tee and together with his third shot on the fifteenth, taking a quadruple bogey.
