The NBA denied the New York Knicks’ protest following a 105-103 loss to the Houston Rockets on February 12.
The sport ended with Jalen Brunson being referred to as for a foul on Aaron Vacation with 0.3 seconds left within the fourth, with Vacation hitting two-out-of-three free throws to win the sport.
After the sport, crew chief Ed Malloy admitted that Brunson shouldn’t have been referred to as for a foul.
“Below the usual for NBA recreation protests, New York was required to reveal that there was a misapplication of the official taking part in guidelines. Versus an error in judgement by recreation officers. As a result of the foul name at challenge mirrored an error in judgement, New York didn’t reveal a misapplication of the taking part in guidelines, and the extraordinary treatment of upholding a recreation protest was not warranted,” mentioned the NBA in a press release.
