Khamzat Chimaev sends warning to newly topped UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland.
Strickland gave the middleweight division a critical shake up after defeating Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. Strickland is now 185lb’s largest goal with quite a few contenders gunning for his title.
Certainly one of which is Chimaev, who appears to have made the permeant transfer as much as middleweight after lacking weight at 170lbs. ‘Borz’ is about to tackle former title challenger, Paulo Costa, at UFC 294 on October 21.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chimaev has laid pout to seize the middleweight title and whereas he credited Strickland for his all his arduous work to get to the highest, makes it very clear that he’ll ‘smash anybody’ to get the title.
“Strickland, coming for him,” Chimaev started. “When you keep there, man, coming for you too. He works arduous, deserves it, the man is all the time within the fitness center, now he received the belt. He has a very good crew, good coach, I’ve been there, coaching with that man.
“They deserve that belt. He has been lively, fights with all people. I don’t know why [the UFC] is ready. Give that likelihood to me. They’re hiding that belt from me. Anyway, like I mentioned, after I smash all people, they’ve to offer that belt to me.” (H/T MMA Mania)
Persevering with on, Chimaev claims that he’s merely extra improved on the new weight class and appears to be having fun with not having to chop as a lot weight.
