Former UFC title contender Kelvin Gastelum feels he completely has to earn a win this Saturday when he meets Daniel Rodriguez at UFC on ABC 6 in Saudi Arabia.
The Final Fighter Season 18 winner at the moment holds a professional MMA report of 18-9 and has had each weight and medical points plague him over his close to 12-year tenure within the UFC. In his final 10 fights with the promotion, the 32-year-old Gastelum has gone 4-6.
“I really feel like my again’s up towards the wall a bit bit – issues have needed the best way I’ve needed them to in my profession recently,” Gastelum informed MMA Junkie reporter Mike Bohn on Tuesday. “This one does really feel a bit totally different. I would like a win. I’m in a must-win scenario. I believe each of us. I believe loser goes residence. Loser packs and goes residence and doesn’t signal with the UFC.”
Rodriguez (17-4) has misplaced two of his final three bouts. His final recorded win was in September 2022, a break up determination over Jingliang Li.
The June 22 combat takes place at Kingdom Enviornment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
