CHICAGO – College of Chicago’s Rachel Keefe was acknowledged with a pair of weekly accolades on Tuesday. She acquired Defensive Participant of the Week awards from the Intercollegiate Ladies’s Lacrosse Coaches Affiliation (IWLCA) and the Faculty Convention of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).
Keefe led the No. 16-ranked Maroons to a 7-5 street victory at College of Mary Washington on Sunday. The sophomore goalie made a season-high 16 saves whereas solely permitting 5 objectives. She restricted Mary Washington to 1-for-4 on free-position pictures. Moreover, Keefe grabbed two floor balls and induced one turnover.
