Former ladies’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk introduced her retirement following her UFC 275 knockout loss to present titleholder Zhang Weili in June 2022. Joyful in retirement, there’s a state of affairs that might lure Jedrzejczyk again to the octagon.
Fellow former strawweight titleholder Jessica Andrade would love a rematch towards Jedrzejczyk and Jedrzejczyk can be open to it if the “BMF” belt is on the road.
“I’ve been speaking to Joanna and he or she stated she’d come again,” Jessica Andrade informed MMAFighting. “If it’s for this [BMF] belt, she would come again. I believe that might be struggle. Joanna, or perhaps Angela Hill, who by no means walks away from a struggle and is all the time there preventing everybody. Or Valentina [Shevchenko]. Any of these ladies can be nice, however I believe it might be particular if it’s Joanna. It might be higher.”
“[Jedrzejczyk] stated she would struggle at 125, not at 115, and that might be even higher for me as a result of I really feel nice on this division as effectively,” Andrade continued. “I wouldn’t be too affected by the burden loss or any of that. I believe we might placed on a present and do an unimaginable struggle, and I’d get that one again.”
Jędrzejczyk held the ladies’s 115-pound title from March 2015 till November 2017. Andrade final fought at UFC 300 in April, defeating Marina Rodriguez by way of cut up resolution.
