CHICAGO – College of Chicago baseball’s Jack Goldstein was chosen because the Midwest Convention’s Place Performer of the Week on Monday.
In seven convention street video games final week, Goldstein was an offensive powerhouse. In 32 at-bats, the Maroon shortstop bashed 5 homers, two triples and two doubles whereas slugging 1.031. He totaled 21 RBIs in these contests and posted a .375 batting common.
Goldstein presently leads the Maroons in house runs (8), RBI (39), doubles (11) and triples (2). He ranks second on the staff with a .320 batting common.
