Ja Morant was sued for allegedly punching a 17-year-old throughout a pickup sport at his Memphis residence.
The lawsuit was filed on September 9.
Paperwork state {that a} pickup sport grew to become heated when the minor threw a basketball that hit Morant within the face. Morant then allegedly knocked {the teenager} down after punching him within the face, then continued hitting him whereas he was on the bottom.
Morant admitted that he did strike {the teenager}, although did so below self protection.
Police investigated the incident and submitted the case to the district lawyer. The DA declined prosecution.
