The Kansas Metropolis Chiefs misplaced a key security this week as Juan Thornhill left to signal with the Cleveland Browns.
The workforce added to the room on Friday afternoon, signing now-former Tampa Bay Buccaneers security Mike Edwards — in keeping with NFL Community’s Ian Rapopport. It’s a one-year deal value as much as $3 million in incentives.
Edwards, 26, first entered the league as a third-round select of Kentucky through the 2019 NFL Draft. Showing in 13 video games through the 2022 season, the 5-foot-10, 205-pound Edwards complied a career-high 82 tackles (52 solo), three passes defensed and two interceptions.
Edwards rounds out a room that features veteran Justin Reid and second-year security Bryan Cook dinner.
Earlier within the day, the Chiefs signed linebacker Drue Tranquill away from the Los Angeles Chargers. Between Edwards, Tranquill and new Chiefs defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, Kansas Metropolis’s protection will look considerably in a different way in 2023.
The top-goal would be the similar — discovering a solution to repeat as Tremendous Bowl champions.
