The energy of the 2023-24 Toronto Raptors is the staff’s versatility and size, because the staff is about to start out Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam, all no less than 6-foot-7, lengthy and capable of deal with the ball, create for others or rating for themselves.
In fact, the Raptors did have an enormous gap to fill at level guard this offseason after dropping Fred VanVleet to Houston, and so they did so by signing Dennis Schroeder from the Los Angeles Lakers in the summertime. Schroeder does have large sneakers to fill after years of regular level guard play from each VanVleet and Kyle Lowry. Large man Jakob Poeltl rounds out the Raptors’ projected beginning 5 whereas Chris Boucher and Gary Trent Jr. are set to be key reserves.
