CHICAGO – College of Chicago’s 14th-ranked ladies’s basketball program completed off an undefeated 2022 with a 72-42 victory over Knox School in non-conference play on Friday afternoon contained in the Ratner Athletics Heart.
The Maroons led from the 5:13 mark within the first quarter onward and held a commanding 48-16 lead on the half. UChicago now strikes to 11-0 and completes an undefeated season in non-conference play.
Sophia North led the scoring effort with 16 factors in 19 minutes, including three rebounds and two steals. Fellow starter Ellie Gross chipped in eight factors on two made threes and had 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Ashley Gao stuffed the stat sheet off the bench with 9 factors, six rebounds, 5 assists and three blocks. Lindsey Carter and Isabelle Herrera have been additionally stable in reduction with 9 and eight factors, respectively.
UChicago now turns its consideration to College Athletic Affiliation (UAA) play, taking up WashU in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday, Jan. 7.
