3. Abdi Nageeye wins the NYC Marathon in 2:07:39, after a DNF in Paris. Evans Chebet, winner at Boston and NYC, was second in 2:07:45. Albert Korir (2:08:00) was third and Tamirat Tola, defending champion, 2:08:12 and Geoffrey Kamworor in fifth, 2:08:50.

4. High American ladies in NYC? Sara Vaughn in sixth (2:26:56), who had covid three weeks in the past, Jessica mcClain in eighth (2:27:19), and Kellyn Taylor was tenth in 2:27:59. Des Linden was eleventh in 2:29:32, an excellent race for Des!

5. Connor Mantz (sixth, 2:09:00), Clayton Younger (seventh, 2:09:21) and CJ Albertson (tenth), 2:10:57 have been high US finishers in Large Apple.

6. Bear in mind, Fred Lebow introduced the NYC Marathon to 5 Boroughs in 1976, it was presupposed to be a one off! In 2024, 55,6464 runners crossed the end line in Central Park, making NYC the most important marathon on the planet!

7. The Staten Island Operating Affiliation held its annual dinner on Wednesday evening. Among the many sport’s stars have been Joan Benoit Samuelson, Steve Jones, Invoice Rodgers, Bob Beamon, Jim Spivery, Tony Staynings, and Dave Wottle!

8. On the NYAC Luncheon on October 31, Jeff Benjamin up to date RBR that on the luncheon have been Matt Centrowitz, Jim Spivey,

Joan Benoit-Samuelson, Tracy Sundlun, Invoice Rodgers, Dave Wottle. That is an annual affair as effectively!
